ABOUT
MENTAL MENTAL HEALTH MILITIA
To bring meaning, purpose, connection, and hope to those who slip through the gaps by offering real support when it's needed most.
Real people. Real stories. Real support.
The Mental Health Militia Foundation is a non-profit organisation built on lived experience, empathy, and action. We’re here for those who fall through the cracks, people who need support but don’t meet the strict criteria for traditional mental health or disability services.
We run 100% free weekly events to help people build connection, meaning, and purpose. Each event includes a dedicated Mental Health Team, creating a safe and supportive space for real conversations, real growth, and real hope.
We aim to sponsor or subsidise a large number of people who otherwise couldn’t afford to access life-changing opportunities, like therapy, fitness programs, social groups, and support networks, so they can take meaningful steps toward healing and wellbeing.
Our long-term vision is to build a thriving, inclusive community and a 24/7 drop-in centre, where people can access wraparound care, connect with others, and rediscover their sense of identity, purpose, and above all, hope.
Because when people feel seen, supported, and valued, they rise.
OUR MISSION.
To break the cycle of silence, shame, and stigma surrounding mental health, addiction, and trauma. We connect with people through real-life experience, creating pathways to healing, identity, and purpose.
OUR PURPOSE.
OUR GOALS.
-
We foster meaning, purpose, and connection by building a supportive community grounded in education, lived experience, and service to others.
-
Our resources include trauma-informed care, psychoeducation, emotional well-being strategies, life skills training, and a wide network of referral services, ensuring no one falls through the cracks.
-
Through our growing community and reach, we attract passionate volunteers, empower them with tools for their own well-being, and inspire them to become advocates for change in their own lives and beyond.
Run a centre where any one can come seeking help, falling between systemic gaps, or simply wanting help such as;
